NICK BIRKINSHAW

Deputy Leisure Manager

After leaving school in 2003, Nick studied at Barnsley College for two years.  He concentrated on sport in his first year taking up public services in his second year.

Before beginning work at the hotel, Nick worked at the Channel 3 Kids camp in Hartford Connecticut USA for the summer of 2006.  He worked as a life guard and a sports coach for children aged 8 - 12 years.

Nick began working at The Waterton Park Hotel in February 2007 as a leisure attendant.  He has now completed his National Pool Plant Operators certificate and gained his Swimming Instructors Certificate.  Nick was promoted to Deputy Leisure Manager in October, 2007 and is currently studying towards his NVQ in operational services.

In his spare time Nick enjoys skiing, his most recent visit was to Canada in January 2008.  He had a fantastic experience and would love o plan similar trips.
